My exhibit “Berlin<>Rio : Routes and Memories” opens on October 25th at Centro Cultural da Justiça Federal in Rio de Janeiro. This work addresses displacements and memories of various generations of the Valentin family and my own contemporary view of it, revisited through black and white 35 mm photographs done while I lived in Berlin from 2014 to 2015. This project was awarded the Marc Ferrez Photography Prize from FUNARTE, the Brazilian National Art Foundation. A book accompanies the exhibit.
