I have a Ph.D. in History, M.A. in Arts and B.A. in Art History and Film. I teach photography, art and art history.
I have been taking photographs for more than 50 years. I currently work also as a curator for photography and art exhibits.
My current art project, “Berlin<>Rio: Routes and Memories” addresses the history of my family, who was forced to leave Germany fleeing from the Nazi regime. It was on exhibit until August 12th 2018 at Berlin's Haus am Kleistpark.
I was a student of Brazilian artist Hélio Oiticica, with whom I collaborated on various film and photography projects in the 1970s.
I have lived in Thailand and in the Amazon.
